The contest is a GLBT event. Contestants MUST be male/female, at least 21 years of age at the time of the contest and self-identified as GLBT. MMPLF is an open contest. Contestants must include a picture with a completed application.

There are 5 [five] rounds of competition.
- Round One: Interview and Pre Judging [ 20 points total ]
- Round Two: Informal Leather/Fetish/Bar Wear [ 15 points total ]
- Round Three: Skin Round [ 20 points total ]
- Round Four: Formal Leather/Fetish [ 20 points total ]
- Round Five: Question & Answer [ 25 points total ]
